First Page

I'm close to releasing my multiplayer game and I was wondering how Nonoba determines what games go on the opening page when you click the Mulitplayer link (currently it displays 12 games). And what chance does a relatively new game have of getting up there?

Currently it's by most plays. But shoot me a message when the game is done, and I shall ensure the game gets some exposure.

Shouldn't the front page be determined by ratings, rather than plays, since being on the front page gets you more plays therefore games on the front page keep getting the most plays and never leave the front page.

One could argue about that. We had it like that, but the result was a lot of bad stuff hitting the font page. Thus we took it off.

Couldn't it be that that's because when a game is just uploaded, the creater gives it a maximum score, and so the game has the highest rating (because he's the only one who rated).

You could use both the ratings and plays, like:
ratings x plays
or you could put the highest rated games on the front page, but only those with a minimum of 1000 plays, ...

just my opninion, cause I think SporkySpoo is right about the way it is now.
