Progress on Chat features?

So,

Not to pressure you guys, or anything. What's the progress on the chat features, auto-hiding and such? I don't mind having it in there, as it is of course a valuable marketing/branding tool for your site. But some way of making it less intrusive when you're not using it at all would be awesome.
