Nonoba died, and it's only our fault.

- Causes of Nonoba's death:


1. Everybody Edits: it all started here. We, nonobians, were the first ones to play it, we made it popular! If we hadn't done it, EE wouldn't have got so popular, and Chris probably wouldn't have brought its development forward. Result: there's no space on the servers to run Nonoba due to EE's large demand.

2. Mobiles: Flash is dead. You can't run a flash application on your mobile. As technology continues to evolve, online entertainment is quickly migrating to the mobile world, and so are we. We hardly ever spend time on the computer anymore. Result: a huge portion of the community gradually gets inactive.

3. Global Warming: the Earth is getting warmer. How many snowy days have you had this winter so far? Sad, isn't it? Result: the servers performances are strongly affected due to the high temperatures.

4. Trolls/Haters/Fakes/Hackers: they have spoiled our community, we should had gotten rid of them while there still was time.

There were loads of cool games to play on Nonoba, why did we have to play EE? Why did we make it so popular? Why can't we get rid of our mobile phones? Why do we have to be connected to the internet all the time? Why do we have to spread pollution around the globe? Why do we have to destroy our planet? Why can't we be nice to everyone? Why are there wet blankets?

IT'S ONLY OUR FAULT. STOP COMPLAINING.

1. Player I/O is on separate servers than the site and the old multiplayer API.

2. You can get it on android phones using dolphin HD browser or opera mobile, iPhones have cloud browse. I don't have any good reason to see if there is one for blackberry.

3. Professional servers (such as the ones nonoba are on) are in cooled concrete rooms below the earth. heat from outside wouldn't get in there very easy.

4. Bite us. there are plenty that still come here even though they are trolled.

Maybe what he means is if EE wasn't so popular, Chris would be forced to care about nooba. Btw, cool thread dood.

Well.. I'm working on a game using the player io, and to be honest with you, Player io is a way better product than Nonoba (although it's difficult to compare the two).

I'm sure it would look better if you weren't on IE.

It's not an update: Nonoba's servers are down, and are currently 'worked' on.

I quickly checked, it's still using the same crappy html4 it always has been... Sad thing is, it wasn't even current when it was made .-.
So, IE should have no problems rendering it.
